Dairy Industry Consultative Forum
The role of the Dairy Industry Consultative Forum (DICF) is to facilitate the exchange of information and provide advice on issues impacting the dairy sector that fall under the Dairy Act 2000, and to provide a setting where dairy regulatory matters can be considered and addressed collaboratively with licensees and other stakeholders.
Scope
The DICF is a consultation body, providing advice, specialist skills, experience and knowledge of the dairy industry to:
- Assist DFSV by providing feedback and guidance on the effectiveness and efficiency of our regulatory functions and activities
- Discuss regulatory issues and developments relevant to the industry
- Provide technical advice on policy development
- Provide intelligence on operational issues facing the dairy industry, including ways to reduce regulatory burden
The DICF will provide an effective conduit for information exchange between DFSV and the dairy industry, and support informing the industry on operational matters and priorities around licensing, compliance monitoring, enforcement activities, and DFSV resourcing.
