Starting a dairy business
To commence operating a dairy business in Victoria you must hold a current and valid dairy industry licence with Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV). However, there are a number of things to consider before you apply for a licence.
In this section you will find information on what’s required to obtain a licence, how to apply and the associated costs.
The process times for licences should be taken into consideration when applying for a licence and they may take up to 30 days for farm and carrier licences, 60 days for distributor licences and 90 days for manufacturing and integrated licences (where approval is granted for a business to conduct two or more activities at the one premises). Currently, we are not accepting credit card payments, however fees can be paid via EFT. |
