Annual Report and Dairy RegTech 2022 launched at AGM
On Tuesday 22 October 2019 Dairy Food Safety Victoria’s (DFSV) Chair, Dr Anne Astin, presented DFSV’s 2018-19 Annual Report at its 19th Annual General Meeting.
Reporting on another successful year delivering on the organisations 2015-2020 strategic plan, Dr Astin touched on the importance of change and innovation in supporting the dairy industry. Key to this was the inclusion of DFSV’s Dairy RegTech 2022, an initiative to use digital technology to streamline audit processes that confirm the high standard of Victoria’s dairy products.
Preceding the meeting, Agriculture Minister Jaclyn Symes officially launched Dairy RegTech 2022 announcing the Victorian Government’s $500,000 investment into the pilot and roll out, stating “support for the innovative new Dairy RegTech 2022 model reflects our commitment to partnering with industry to build a resilient and internationally competitive agriculture sector.”
DFSV and industry are in the final stages of piloting Dairy RegTech 2022 with plans for a wider industry roll out in late 2020.
